The Tudur Kennel (original name, Cambrian) was started by Mr. Joseph T. Cowdrick (Joe) approximately 38 years ago. Joe obtained his foundation stock in Wales, UK while serving in the U.S. Navy.

The kennel's first champion was the Welsh import Am/Can Ch. Pencelli Tomas, "Dewi," obtained from Mr. Harold Newman of the Pencelli Kennel, Treorchy, Wales.  Dewi proved to be an excellent stud dog and currently holds the distinction of producing the most champion Welsh Springer Spaniels  in the U.S.

Over the years that Joe was serving in the U.S. Navy his kennel remained in the background. Even so, it was responsible for the importation of excellent breeding stock and for helping to maintain and expand the gene pool for the Welsh Springer Spaniel in the U.S.

To this day the kennel still maintains frozen semen from both Am/Can Ch Pencelli Tomas and Ch Dalati Marc.
